Overnight Breakfast Oats And Caramelised Apple

Preparation Time: 15 minutes, plus overnight refrigeration

Serves: 2

Ingredients

Breakfast Oats:

  • 120g oats
  • 1 ½ cups (375ml) milk or coconut milk
  • ½ cup (125ml) boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey


Caramelised Apple:

  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, quartered and roughly chopped
  • 50g butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey

Preparation

  • To make the oats, mix all the ingredients together and divide between your Le Creuset On The Go Food Flask tumblers, cover and place in the fridge overnight. 
  • The next day, place the butter and honey in a small saucepan and allow the butter to melt. 
  • Once the mixture is foamy, add the apples. Mix to coat in the butter-honey mixture until golden and caramelized evenly.
  • Divide the oats between 2 – 4 canisters. Top with the caramelized apples and sprinkle with mixed seeds.
  • Ready to serve!
